Date: 2026-09-01 (America/Chicago) Input: files (20).zip / fable51-invariant-research-package-v2.2.zip Disposition: GO TO OPUS EXECUTION. NO FURTHER FABLE THEORY ROUND.
I independently unpacked the v2.2 package and ran:
python3 tools/drift_gate.py .
Result:
drift_gate: scanned 10 current-facing files; 41 crosswalk records
DRIFT GATE PASS
I independently ran the adversarial witness under:
PYTHONHASHSEED=0
PYTHONHASHSEED=1
PYTHONHASHSEED=42
PYTHONHASHSEED=123
Every run returned:
19 expectations, 0 failed
exit 0
Every stdout stream had SHA-256:
ad23cf4b178c2880da78abe22712c500674a80de5d3b1133b0b80453b6c4bcfc
Witness source SHA-256 remains:
439ed40b90fbf8d8c7c3c933a593f0b6420471df993ef28bb3359d620965868f
The cross-registry map parses with 41 records.
The stale:
S3 ... + two mechanisms on copyable substrates
has been replaced by:
two independently necessary enforcement properties:
currentness / exclusivity
canonical-history continuity
mechanism count:
substrate-dependent
This is the correct semantic/mechanism distinction.
The frontier now documents the actual v2.1/v2.2 schema:
semantic_obligation
relation
rather than stale semantic_id.
The current surfaces now say double-locus birth is:
predicted reachable from supplied source/design evidence
and explicitly require live-repository verification before recording it as TESTED.
The gate now contains positive assertions that require:
S3 currentness/exclusivity;
S3 canonical-history continuity;
permission for one compound trusted mechanism;
correct crosswalk field documentation;
PX13 before EMB-E1 before EXP-1;
ARM B explicitly named as the advancement/high-information test.
The package notes report that these positive assertions caught a real omission in the handoff during packaging, which was then fixed. This is evidence that the gate is doing useful work rather than merely existing.
Still use this as a working execution map, not a proven irreducible basis:
S1 Admission singularity
S2 Authority non-amplification
S3 Continuity / anti-resurrection
enforcement properties:
currentness / exclusivity
canonical-history continuity
mechanism count is substrate-dependent
S4 Semantic observability
adequacy + equivariance
observation-as-write pending real API test
S5 External-effect honesty
scoped to irreversible external effects
S6? World/Locus uniqueness
candidate only
first ask whether it is simply S1 at the World locus-birth domain
No further semantic rewrite is justified before execution.
This package is an ingestion patch only. It contains no new execution receipt for:
R0.8.3 PX13 lab;
EXP-3;
EXP-4;
EXP-5;
EMB-E1;
distributed-currentness EXP-1;
S6?;
EXP-8.
Therefore the next return should come from Opus executing the accepted sequence, not from Fable producing v2.3 theory.
Run the already-built NC17–NC23 lab.
Acceptance target from the handoff:
receipts/R0.8.3-<timestamp>.json
24/24 gates
crash matrix unchanged
The result must be reported honestly even if it fails.
Run:
EXP-3 observation-as-write
EXP-4 Locus/capability façade
EXP-5 authority merge
Do not repair the tests merely to preserve S1–S5. A falsification is a successful experiment.
Execute only under its frozen explicit operator spend protocol.
Run both arms:
ARM A
copied world
no distributed currentness anchor
boundary receipt
ARM B
copied world
explicit distributed currentness mechanism
one competing advancement must be refused/quarantined
ARM B is the advancement test.
Verify double-locus birth against the live repository.
Then classify the result as either:
S1(domain = World locus-birth/currentness)
or evidence for a distinct obligation.
Pressure-test S3 on Micro-Locus profiles without importing desktop mechanisms by assumption.
For the next GPT review, return a self-contained bundle containing:
1. exact git commit / tree identity before and after;
2. R0.8.3 PX13 receipt and raw lab logs;
3. EXP-3 / EXP-4 / EXP-5 code, outputs, and falsification receipts;
4. EMB-E1 receipt only if explicitly executed by the operator;
5. EXP-1 ARM A/B implementation and raw receipts if reached;
6. S6?/EXP-8 evidence if reached;
7. updated CROSS_REGISTRY_CLAIM_MAP.json only where evidence class/status changed;
8. updated INV_FRONTIER_R10_PRE.md with no promotion beyond evidence;
9. drift-gate output;
10. a concise CHANGELOG stating exactly which claims moved:
PREDICTED -> TESTED
IN_TREE -> LIVE_LOCAL
SUPPORTED -> REFUTED
candidate -> corollary
etc.
Do not silently convert failure into a design patch before preserving the failing witness.
v2.2 is accepted as the canonical R10-pre execution handoff.
There is no remaining package-level blocker that justifies another Fable research iteration.
The project has reached the point where additional semantic confidence must come from the real system:
execute, preserve failures, update evidence classes, then adjudicate.
